GA Milestone Letter of Encouragement
As you know, the Milestone is coming around the corner for us. Can you believe that we have 3 more weeks until testing starts? Testing this year starts on Tuesday, April 12 and goes until Tuesday, April 26. More information about the testing schedule will come home soon.
One special thing I like to do for my students before testing begins is have the parents/guardians write a secret note of encouragement for students to open on the first day of testing. I can say that these notes from parents are treasured by students and give them the encouragement and reassurance they crave when faced with their first “Big Test.”
The directions for these notes are below. Please keep this a secret, thank you!
My Math Students: all kiddos were sent home with a packet to help them study for milestones. This is due the Monday after break. We will check it and continue our review.
Field Trip forms are due back Friday, April 29th

- Write a note to your child wishing them luck on the Milestone. Include words of encouragement to reassure your child that s/he will do a fabulous job!
- Put your note in an envelope, write your child’s name on the outside, seal the envelope, and return it to school by Monday, April 11.
- Make sure your child knows that s/he is not to open the envelope!
